When it’s time to plan your long awaited vacation, talk to a good friend who’s been there “Island Ann”.With over twenty years in the tourism industry, having worked with the major airlines and hotels. She was referred by a writer for Caribbean travel and life as having been a wealth of information. Her genuine love and knowledge of her native Island of Eleuthera is very evident as soon as you start to talk with her.
Your vacation is what’s most important, and she will make sure that “Sea Cliff” is the perfect vacation home to meet your needs.
Island Ann and her husband Mr. Charlie spend most of their time on the Island in their Bahamian style cottage on the property, to ensure that all your needs are met and to help plan each day’s adventure. This is quite different to other homes available for rent, where there’s a caretaker who lives miles away and has other commitments.
Ann and Mr. Charlie are there to give you that one on one special treatment.
“Sea Cliff” is Mr. Charlie’s dream escape from a working career in the big polluted cities of the US. He fell in love with the Island and the people over twenty five years ago. Using his career experience as an engineer and architect and also being raised in the tropical climate of Florida, he designed “Sea Cliff” to be the perfect tropical vacation home.
The location of “Sea Cliff” is well off the main road, completely gated allowing you your utmost privacy.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped with native and exotic plants, and are well lighted at night.
It is located right on the shoreline, at an elevation of over eighty feet, with steps along the cliff that allows you to enter the water for swimming and snorkeling. Cliff diving, jumping and repelling for those who dare to meet the challenge. These steps are a work of art and were designed and constructed by Mr. Charlie himself. The view is spectacular from this height and it cannot be equaled to anywhere else on Eleuthera. You can view underwater sea life from the deck and also a large array of sea and shore birds. Bird watching is a plus at “Sea Cliff”. You will be amazed by how many different species you can see during your stay. Star gazing on those clear crisp nights; don’t forget to make a wish when you see a falling star.
It’s ideal location puts you in close proximity to the world famous surfers beach, surfing and great shelling and just one mile away on the Atlantic side of the Island, the Hatchet Bay caves which are subterranean caves presenting fascinations displays of both stalactites and stalagmites, Sweetings pond, where legend has it that a sea monster once lived there, this inland pond is fed from the ocean.
Also Gregory Town is only two miles north and is home of the Pineapple festival which is an annual event held the first weekend in June. The glass window bridge is another favorite attraction which divides the island in two. You will be totally amazed at the contrast between the Atlantic and the Caribbean at this point on the Island.
